Part 5 of the Mindset Reset: The Power of Reframing
Every rebuild demands new stories.
Not fiction — but reframing.
Reframing is the practice of looking at the same situation through a different lens. The facts don’t change, but the meaning you attach to them does. And meaning is where your power lives.
My Reframe Story
When I hit rock bottom financially, my first story was: “I’ve failed. I’m broken. I’ll never recover.” Every bill I couldn’t pay, every “no” I heard from job applications reinforced that story.
But one day, in the middle of writing in my journal, I asked: “What if this isn’t failure? What if this is data?”
That single question reframed everything. Instead of “I’ll never recover,” I started writing: “This is teaching me resilience. This is showing me what no longer works. This is shaping me into someone stronger.”
The situation didn’t magically improve overnight. But my mindset did. And that shift gave me the stamina to keep moving forward.
👉 This is where reframing becomes powerful: it doesn’t erase hardship — but it transforms your relationship with it. It moves you from victim of the story to author of the next chapter.
